I forgot to post photos of a couple of paintings I did just before the summer this year. So, here they are at last.
The first one was the direct result of a Danielle Donaldson class that I did. I do love Danielle’s watercolour style. As I worked on this I thought I would be unhappy with the final result, but in fact I love it. Just goes to show how you should always stick with it!
The second one was a quirky little idea of my own which followed on from what I had been doing in the previous painting with Danielle. I love this too but have no idea how much these quirky little musings would appeal to anyone else. But for me they are great fun to do and very relaxing to paint.
Of course the little bits of stitchery involved always appeals to me.
I also love searching through my book pages to find little extracts of words to cut out and add. The words that I find just seem to jump out at me and ask to be included in the painting that I am looking for them for. Such fun!
