I’m a contemporary abstract artist who paints intuitively, creating textured, colour-rich expressions of imagined meadows and floral forms. My work blends acrylics, collage, mark making and negative space to suggest wildflowers and nature’s energy. These “abstract meadows of my mind” form the main body of my work: reality encapsulated in an imaginary glimpse—what the eye might see if the brain did not know. Alongside my meadow-inspired paintings, I also explore abstract vases of flowers and looser abstract pieces. As long as I have colour, my mind is at peace.

I dream in colour, and in my waking moments I attempt to recreate those dreams on canvas. My paintings are textured layers of mark making, collage, pencil, ink, distressing, and acrylic—non-specific until a suggestion of wildflowers begins to emerge. I focus on negative space and let my imagination wander, as if I’m strolling through a mythical meadow that only I can see. These “abstract meadows of my mind” form the main body of my work: reality encapsulated in an imaginary glimpse—what the eye might see if the brain did not know.

My process is deeply intuitive. I rarely plan a piece in advance, allowing colour, instinct, and feeling to guide my brush. As the painting evolves, so too does the narrative: a suggestion of wildflowers and open fields for the viewer to interpret and stroll through at their leisure.

I hope that you enjoy browsing through my posts and pages.
